Maple Story FTW!

LOL! This is my term 3 post 6.
This post is dedicated to those who play mousehunt, maplestory, wolfteam, counterstrike, halo, chaos faction, pokemon, dota?(OK! this few games would be enough to include everyone except for those muggers xD)
What is the point of playing games? Well, i dont know but when i am bored, the first thing i think of is to play games. So what is computer games? A game that is played on computer. Then what does game means. Game is a tool that would arouse one's happiness and is usually undertaken for enjoyment. However, does computer games nowaday make us enjoy it? For example, what is the point of catching mouse in mousehunt? What is the point of level 200 in maple? What is the poin of a kill death ratio of 5.86 in wolfteam? What is the point of killing those aliens in halo? what is the point of destorying you keboard when you lose in counterstrike(crazy german kid)? what is the point of unlocking raging brain character in chaos faction? And what is the point of catching a latios in pokemon? What is the point of me owning sabstien 5:0 in dota? WHAT IS THE POINT? Do you see what i mean? Why do teenagers nowadays play computer games, whats so fun about it? Is it because one is realy childish ? is it because one is seriously very bored and boh liao? Or is it because of peer pressure.
I feel that it is because of peer pressure. For example. Your friend caught a mobster mouse in mousehunt and you want to compete with him thus you will play mousehunt. Your friend is lv 100 in maple but you are only lv 1 thus you will play maplestory. Your friend caught a raquaza in pokemon but you only have a pikachu thats why you will play pokemon. I experienced this feeling in primary school where all my friends talk about maple story in school and i am the odd one out. Thus i begged my mother to let me download maplestory on my computer and she finally agreed. When everyone stopped playing, i stopped too. When i am in 1O2, people would come to boast:" woaH! i got a leprechaun seh! " i would sound my horn in mousehunt everyday to get it and even spent money on the game . However, i felt that it is not worth it. Currently, i started playing maplestory again because exam is over and the rest of the games i play until sian aready xD. I am currently a lv 23 evan with pure int stats and my name is Dungeondrago. Feel free to add me xD

TERM 3 POST 6 HOLY TORCH!

Wednesday morning, massive traffic jam outside hwa chong. It was darn frustrating sitting in your car and watching those "snails" infront of you. I left school at about 6.30, my mother fetched me to school and by right i will not be late. I muttered, 1 demerit point nia, no big deal but in my heart, i did not want ot get the demerit point as it will bring my clean record. At the corner of my eye, i saw a chubby, short figure running at the side of the road. RUIYU! I shrieked and carried my bag and told my mom to stop beside the road. Ruiyu and i then ran to school. When i reached, i realised it is the youth olympic torch thing. I sighed a sigh of relieve as i did not recieve any demerit point as the PE teacher beside the gate did not stop us. We found the class and settled down and later found out that a lot of students arrived quite late. We waited and waited. We listened to Bennet's sick jokes, yuding's insulting phrases, sabastien's love story, kenneth's mugging marathon, Andy 's whoops, my wolfteam skills, garreth's girl friend's nickname, Zheyi's randoming, derrick's niaoing and even mr balan's history analysis. We waited and waited and finally, the torch bearer is here! Everyone started cheering! It is not some well build-up man who ran gloriously with the nice torch but instead an old man who have a silly grin and on his face carrying a lamp! I felt so disappointed. We could have played soccer because the morning perious is PE and i felt that 1 hr 30 minutes are totall wasted as there are nothing but preparation for an old man carrying a lamp? I felt that we are kind of cheated as few people in the class feel very proud of Singpore for hosting the YOG. I personally feels that the YOG is not as important as the Olympic Games, nor as exciting as the fifa world cup thus not so enthusiastic about it. But one thing i am sure it helped, it saved me from 1 DEMERIT POINT! xD

term 3 post 5~~ whose your champion XD

Woots. Finally posting again this time, its about champions? Bennett? no. Its spain! Hell yea! I will be posting my 5 th post on spain vs the netherlands.
The school is VERY understanding to let us start 1 hour later and end 1 hour later compared to RI who does not need to go to school because of the FIFA championship. Alot of students did not stay up and watch, mainly those muggers or guai kia. I supported fernando torres so decided to watch the match. 2.30 sharp, i woke up and turned on my television. channel 5. I must admit that one should skip until the extra time if one only want to watch the exciting part. However, the first and second half have a lot of build up tension.there was a lot of opportunities for netherlands. First was around the start of the first half when robben suddenly rammed the ball but was blocked by cassilas. Second one was when one of the holand players pumped the ball form around midfill, casillas jumped to get the ball but it was too high.However, the direction of the ball was slightly slanted and thus misssed the goal by inches. In two cases, robben was 1 on one cassilas but he was i think too nervous. FIrst , when he shoot, cassilas lept across using his feet to sipe the ball away. second one, the ball was saved when cassilass made a dive for it.

Spain have no particular nice performance during the first half and second half but instead, they build up there strength and endruance till the extra time when their build up "strength" was suddenly released and their pace increased rapidly. Fernando torres crossed the ball to the middle who passed to iniesta. iniesta stopped the ball and kicked and it was a goal! One netherland player argued it was a offside but in actual fact it was an onside. One Netherland player even throw the ball at the referee but was red-carded.

It was well fought match and i felt proud for Spain as they endured until the last and did not give up.

Diary Of Anne frank Summary! xD 4th post for term 3

1942 summary.
Anne frank received her diary as her birthday present and she thinks that the present is the nicest of all the presents she received. Although she felt that writing a diary is quite unusual or boring as no one at her age is writing one, she wrote it anyway as she felt the diary is one of her best friend who could listen to her.

She gives a brief story of her life. Her father married her mother when he was thirty-six and her mother twenty-five. Her sister Margot was born in 1926 in Germany, and Anne in 1929, also in Germany. They emigrated to Holland in 1933, and her father manages a company there. In 1938, after the pogroms, or destructive anti-Jewish raids, some of her family escaped to the US, and her grandmother came to stay with the family in Holland. After May 1940, Hitler's anti-Jewish laws became more strict. Jews were made to wear a yellow six-pointed star, forbidden to ride bicycles, trains, and cars, given limited shopping hours and a curfew, forbidden to enter places of entertainment, forbidden to play sports, forbidden to visit Christians, and other restrictions.

Sunday, the S.S., Nazi police, sent a call-up notice for her father and for Margot for their deportation to a concentration camp. Thus the family escaped to the Secret Annex and they clean the place for a few days. They are very scared that the neighbours will spot them thus, they tried to not make much noise. Another family, the van Daans. The Mr and Mrs Van Daan always pick on Anne at how she eats and how she behaves, scolding her as a spoilt child. Anne don’t like them and also don’t like her mother as she felt that her mother is very bias against her. She always is on Margots side and Anne is frustrated about her mother but is helpless thus a few diaries are about her upset and frustration at her mother. She write down bad things about her mother . She also mentioned that she love her father more as he understands her.

In actual history, in 1942, there was the mass killing of Jews . French, Holland, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Romania jews were all slaughtered. SS begins cashing in possessions and valuables of Jews from Auschwitz and Majdanek. German banknotes are sent to the Reichs Bank. Foreign currency, gold, jewels and other valuables are sent to SS Headquarters of the Economic Administration. Watches, clocks and pens are distributed to troops at the front. Clothing is distributed to German families. By February 1943, over 800 boxcars of confiscated goods will have left Auschwitz. Germany also deducted the foot ration for the Jews. The jews are also banned to use public transportations and must wear yellow star which is for the segregation between jews and other people. More than 500,000 jews were killed in 1942.


1943 summary

In 1943, Anne turned 14 and received a lot of birthday presents like book on Greek mythology . one of her favorite gift is the poem her father wrote for her which is very sweet. Besides that, there is a lot of air raids, sometimes even twice a day. All of them are very scared and could not even sleep peacefully at night. Anne often woke up in cold sweat as she is very scared of the sound of bombs and guns.Food are running out in the secret annexe.

More Jews are getting dragged into concentration camps to be slaughtered. Anne feels that she is lucky compared to jews with no hiding place to go and get caught by the germans and forced to work or get killed. She also desperately hopes that no one discover secret annex and catch them. She pity those Jews outside and often wished to herself that war should be over as soon as possible.

Anne find Mr and Mrs van daan more and more irritating as they scolded her continuously. She had a couple of arguments with Mr. Dussel and one of them is them fighting over a table in their room but father stood on her side so after a few rounds of quarrel, she could use the table but that’s beside the point. Her relationship with mother is getting worse every day. Once she refuses to say her prayers with Mummy, upsetting her greatly. Anne feels sorry for her, but she did not know that Mummy would be upset by the coldness with which she herself treats Anne. Anne is indifferent, and remains aloof because it is her true feelings.

Food in Secret annex is running out. Everyone is angry. Anne cannot sleep because of air raids, and they are eating terribly-dry bread and ersatz coffee for breakfast, and spinach and rotten potatoes for dinner. Burglars steal money, sugar coupons, and check books from the offices downstairs. Luckily, nothing is taken from the Secret Annexe.

In real history, the year 1943 is the year of the first bombing raid by Americans on Germany (at Wilhelmshaven). Later in the year, Mussolini was arrested but rescued by Germany. He quickly re-establishes a Fascist government. Italy declares war on Germany and on the same day, there was the Second American air raid on Schweinfurt. Thus from real history, we could see that in the year of 1943, there is a lot of air raids just like what anne frank frustratingly talked about in a few diaries.


1944 summary

In 1944, Anne frank is experiencing puberty. She has a crush on Peter and always has a dream about his cheek near hers. She is also curious about sexual topics which are also a sign of her puberty. She kept going upstairs to see Peter and chat with peter which was suspected by father who thought that their friendship might turn to love but Anne felt that everything is under control and when father continued to force her, she wrote him a letter which is very hurtful and caused father to dislike her and turned cold to her but this did not stop her from getting closer to Peter. Anne’s mother felt that she is disturbing Peter but Peter did not feel so as she and him have something in common which is the dislike over their parents. Peter did not like his parents and Anne did not too thus both of them always chat about this topic. Later on, she found Peter weak as he kept on finding the easier way out. She wanted peter to depend on her but Peter is depending too much on her and she is like “ what is his problem?”

There is also D-Day which signals that the invasion has begun. The British are invading France.
Anne is so excited and wonders if 1944 will bring an end to the war. The invasion seems to be going well, and Anne gives some interesting details about the number of planes in use and how many tons of bombs are being dropped. The invasion is going well, with the Allied forces having captured many French towns and also recaptured and liberated a lot of land. Everyone is just waiting for them to reach Holland. Anne again points out how foolish the Dutch people are for thinking the English are lazy because they have not yet liberated Holland.
Anne’s diary ended abruptly on her last entry where she reflects on the fact that her personality is a "bundle of contradictions." She is a dual personality but she never shows the nicer, softer, and gentler inside Anne to people – they only see the frolicsome, flirty, easy-going outside Anne.

Arr...Human Are The Most Cruel Animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sianzz..my maid emo-ing again. Its not my fault. I like to drink green-bean ice at night cause its very very healthy! XD however, i like those kind which needs to be boiled for 1 hour plus and the seed of the green bean will kind of burst and the "flesh" of the green bean would be in the green bean water. All "flesh" together would be like a mash greenbeans which is very nice xD. By crushing mixing it with tiny pieces of ice to make it ice-blended , it is very delicious after whipped-cream is poured on top. The feeling is like- wonderful! I told my maid to make me one after dinner i told her which kind i wanted and she agreed, After around one hour, she gave me the green-bring ice but then she cooked the kind which the seed is only boiled for 10 minutes and not ripe, the ice is not green-bean flavour and she putted sugar instead of whip cream!!! Ar! I did not like it so i drank all could, leaving half a bowl there then she starts to emo, saying what i cook so long you dont eat but I CANT! I told her she did not cook the type i wanted which made the matter worse, she completely give me this sian face then lock her self up in her room AR!!!!! 3 rd time this week. Angr man. btw, this is my third post for term 3
But thats beside the point. Today my excellent topic is about the most cruel animal on earth award! The award goes to human HOORAY!Unlike my previous post, later on there would be no explaination on why i cheered as my cheering should act as a sacarsm! You all want to know why human is the most Cruel Animal? ( rhetorical question)Yes?I will explain. No? i will still explain XD( never explain where got ace ? joking =])ok, this thought shot into my mind at the speed of joshua hia sprinting. I saw my neighbour trying to train their dog. They tried to walk the dog beside them but the dog too energetic, always try to dash to the front. They are holding a special kind of leash for the dog, once they pull, the dog would feel pain and reel back. the dog keep running infront and getting it self choked. It will roll on the floor coughing in pain everytime it choke. after about one hour and i finish jogging, i saw my neighbour happily walking their dog, which sometimes is still disobedient but mostly got it that it is suppose to walk beside its masters. After that, i reflected on this incident and recalled that in china, i watched a tiger and lion performance. The tiger and lion were trained to jump into fire rings, roll on their back and stand on hind legs to wave at audience blahblah. At first i enjoyed it but i realised how cruel it is of human to train the tigers and lions to be domestic animals. When they performed wrongly, they were even hit by canes. Furthermore, they lost all their ferociousness and is more like a dog then the kind of the animals. Human training animals to be under their control is so cruel, especially when they bait the animals. Animals are not as intelligent as humans and did not know that human are ruling over them but simply know that if it is obedient, it get a treat. Sigh, using this weak point of animals just to dominate them, IT IS SO CRUEL. For your information, the number of human killed by tiger is highest aroun 24 a year but tigers killed by humans around 2 million per year. THAT is the difference and another explaination why human is the cruelest animal and not the tiger

HollyWoOd stars time in JAIL!!!

Yo! Everyone! Are you surprised to see me post again xD haha. the past couple of days are so boring and nothing interesting to share to you guys but now..i have an interesting story to share!btw this is my sec 2 term3 post 2!!!! Btw.. the yangwz incident y no one comment.. u guys try to continue the story leh xD

Erm..today's interesting topic would be hollywood stars time in jail xD hooray! you might be wondering am i a "guai lan kia" , people go jail already i still cheer. i will explain why i cheered later in my post.Firstly, the background information. THe couple of days, ALOT of hollywood starts went to jail!
1Robert John Downey Jr ;Jail time: about one and a half years ;Reason: drug abuse
2Paris Hilton ;Jail time: 23 days ;Reason: driving on a suspended license
3Sean Penn ;Jail time: 33 days;Reason: assaulting a photographer
4Nicole Richie Jail time: 82 minutes Reason: driving under the influence of drugs
5indsay Lohan ;Prison term: 90 days ;Reason: violating the terms of her probation in a drunk driving case

in a few days time, 5 hollywood stars spend an amount of time in jail!While, after i read the article, i analysed it this are my following views:
1) the hollywood stars are stressed . Some because of their reputation and others because of their movies. Sean Penn is stressed about his reputation and thus assaulted the photographer as he might captured something bad of him. Robert John Downey Jr could have been stressed out and could not seperate life in movie and life in reality which alot of actors suffer some get depression adn others takes drugs.
2) The hollywood stars might have thought that their position is higher than others and thus drive without license, violating terms of probation in a drunk driving case. This things could have happen because the actors think that they being famous could be treated better than others and thus doing things that are illegal for others might be okay for themselves.

Now i will explain why i cheered in my introduction. I felt glad that the police and the society and the law dows not judge someone by their cover. Whether they are rich or poor, famous or not famous, good looking or not good looking, contributed to the society or not.By sending this hollywood stars who commit illegal things to jail is actually proving that law is fair and would not let go of someone doing an illegal thing just because he/she is a hollywood star xD i bet you all would be cheering right now xD not because the hollywood stars went to jail but because of the fairness of modern society xP!!!!!!

Poem i chose

Rainbow Death
America did not foresee
Green, pink, purple and other colors death potpourri!
Expecting others to pay a high price.

Wow, this poem may be short but OMG! Never underestimate a poem by its size ! Haha! Never underestimate Joshua Loh hor.... Random...Ok my analysis starts here:

This poem is about Huber Wilson who went to Vietnam to fight for the USA but his health slowly became "lousy" and his limbs started to suffer tremendous pain but the doctors could not find the reason behind this, thus, he retired and started writing poems.

This poem is mainly about the modern day ingredient of warfare that has caused appalling death and suffering – not only to its intended victims, the Vietnamese people, but also the service personnel that used or even just came into contact with “Agent Orange”.

(So, what is Agent Orange? Agent Orange is the code name for an herbicide and defoliant—contaminated with TCDD—used by the U.S. military in its herbicidal warfare program during the Vietnam War.)

"Green, pink, purple and other colors death potpourri!" I think why this sentence is written is because there is not only Agent orange but Agent green, Agent pink, Agent purple, Agent blue and Agent white! During the production of all this "agents" ,dioxins were produced as a contaminant, which have caused numerous health problems for the millions of people who have been exposed.

In the last three lines of the poem, all of them end with an "ay" which probably emphasizes on how serious and dangerous it is to start a war and warns us never to start war again to prevent the suffering from all those people.

Finally, i think that this poem is named Rainbow death is because agent Orange was by far the most widely used of the so-called "Rainbow Herbicides" . Thus, it is to describe how dangerous and harmful and the huge amount of death caused by Agent orange.

7)Panda

Read the article above. It is about a panda called TaiShan from USA moving into the Ya'an Bifeng Gorge Breeding Base of the Wolong Giant Panda Protection and Research Center in china.After i read this article, i felt that mankind are cruel , destroying animals home, seperating them from their families and putting them into research centres.No matter how large the research centre is, the panda would be lonely and miss home.It is the same concept when birds get locked up in a cage. Even if the cage is as big as a bungalo, the bird will still be lonely.Mankind say that they were simply protecting the pandas but i dont think so. Mankind may feed them, may play with them but it was us who destroyed their home.We are the main threat to pandas and the main cause of their near-extinction.Some of us tried to save the pandas but we need full cooperation of everybody to save them.
My question here would be what do you think as a student you could contribute to the saving of the pandas and do you really agree by bringing them to research and protection centres , they are happy and that means that they are saved?Put yourself in the position of the panda. A bunch of hunters came and murder your whole family, you escaped, caught by a kind hearted soul who lock you in the research centre where they claim to have saved you. Even if you are well fed, will you be happy.Actually, looking at the incident from a different perspective.Actually by bringing pandas to research and protection centres is hurting them. You are taking away their ability to hunt for food themsleves.If released into the wild, thye would be useless.Think about this issue and comment please.

OMG! i am so excited because after this post i will hit the minimum requiry of miss lim's blogging standard.Of course i will write more.Well, this post is about technology, whether or not we should over rely on technology.
Well, let me share with you, my laptop(the one i am using now)was bought in january but was only taken back yesterday. Why? This is because immediately after i bought the laptop, the hard disk was corrupted and could not switch on my computer. I did 20slides of my geography powerpoint in this computer and 15 slides of our prokects day competition.Luckily for me, my geography ace presentation was on term 3 and projects day is quite far away from now.My mother asked me this question,'why did you type in the computer and not write on the paper?'Yes, it is true that by doing a hard copy manually, it will prvent problems like losing data when your computer is corrupted . If that is so, why do so many people buy and use computer?Ipod touch?Iphone?Ipad?Why?
While, it is because by doing something manually , it is not as convenient as it was down using technology. Technology is used to help people. Computer,in chinese is 电脑,direct translation to english would be electric brain.The use of the computer is to help us 'remember things'After you have done a powerpoint presentation, press the save button and you will not lose it in your life unless your computer corrupt like mine.somethings could not be achieved without technology.Can you communicate with a friend? You write a letter which take 1or 2 days to reach his place. He write a letter back, and you recieve it after another 2 days.If you want to ask him, you want to play chess?it will take four days for him to reply manually by writing letter, but by using phones and emails will be different.
Even if technology is very convinient and good to us, i still thinks that we should not over rely on technology.the movie 'Meet the robinson' shows the results of over relying on technology.It is about this future world with advanced technology but it turned out that the technology ruled the world later and the battle between man and technology started . Another movie ' nine ' also describes the result of over relying on technology.

Have anyone read percy jackson? While, someone gived me the first book of percy jackson which was percy jackson and the lightning thief.i randomly flipped through the book and realised that it is about greek mythology. Gods like zeus, hades and poisedon give birth with mortals to demigods.While, percy jackson, the main character is the son of Poisedon(the sea god), thalia is the daughter of zeus(you should know this one), annabeth is the daughter of athena(goddess of wisdom).While, they all have special powers.Percy could heal when their is water and he could control the sea, thalia cna summon lightning and annabeth is very smart.immediately i got addicted and started buying percy jackson because the description and battles and monsters is very real, reading it is like experienceing it yourself.I was wondering the other day, will you like to be a demigod?
Being a demigod have its pros and cons, you can undergo a lot more than mortals, you have special powers and no one can bully you at school. You can summon up waves and swim extra-ordinary fast during swimming test if you are a son of poisedon , excel in you academics and get full mark for IQ test if you are the son of Athena, strike anyone who aggitate you with a bolt of lightning, if you are a son of zeus,etc,etc.There are alot of advantages.
But on the other hand, you would be chased by monster.If you go to school and the monster follow you, you kill it and cause a mess, the teacher willk suspend you from school.Like in the first book, percy's math teacher is a monster and attacked him. He killed the teacher and cause a mess and got suspended. In the second book, giants went to his school to hunt him, he killed them and set the whole school on fire. Ordinary people could not see the monster and how you fought with them, if the building is on fire, the only suspect is--you.Titans and monsters will hunt for you even when you are sleeping.
I was wondering this question for quite a long time, my final conclusion is that i dont want to be a demigod, i felt that ordinary life is already very stressful for me and if i were to fight monsters and save the world, what if i fail, all the blame would be casted on me like how it was casted on germany in the treaty of versailles.haha, it might be a little lame but please ponder over this question and write it down in the comment box.

After such a big decision of whether or not i should go for my drama show on tan kah kee , i decided to go since it is a big activity and i am representing hwa chong instead of myself.I recalled that in the morning , we watched another movie in our sabbatical class. it is called 十月围城, which in english is called assassins and bodyguards. It is about 孙中山, arriving to hongkong and how they try to protect him from getting killed by the british since he supported the' three principles of people' which will make china a free, prosperous and powerful nation. British did not want china to be a free nation as it will cut off the advantages it is gaining from china. Thus, they wanted to kill 孙中山. Before he arrived, there is a man called 李玉堂, he supported 孙中山, thus, he organised a group of people to safely escort 孙中山out of danger.his son went to be the substitute of 孙中山to lead the assassins away.A lot of people were recruited as body guards and to fight the assasins. a lot of people died in the battle but 孙中山was safe.I dont really get the main idea of the whole movie but it was very nice with lots of fighting scene. It was also very touching when 李玉堂＇ｓ　son went to be the substitute as he was the only son, his father is rich and wanted the servents to act as the substitute fearing that his son might die, but his son said 'that all man were born equal, why cant i die and why can the servants die?'

I am seriously frustrated, totally upset, so depressed that i am actually tearing infront of my computer.Why does the gods keep messing with me!Why cant i play badminton with my friends? I put 600 points in badminton for sabbatical week and did not get in which already pissed me off. Now, when i booked a court in the march holiday on friday, my teacher told me i have to perform'cheng jia geng' in thursday, friday and saturday! It is the formal performance and i could not miss it. I have tuition on friday somemore. I hate chinese drama man! toy with me when i have no time. How frustrating! I really cant make it to the performance!My tuition class 1 lesson cost more than 60 dollars and how can i miss it! I really cant! I talked to yang lao shi but he buei song and then scold me for not paying attention to the date! I remembered he keep saying about the performance in March but did not tell us the exact date. I am really very pissed off. I could easily push off my badminton but i couldnt push off my tuition , because of chinese drama i had delayed 2 tuitions and thats the maximum amount i could delay in one term! Morever, even if i could cancel the badminton court it will make my friends leave a bad impression on me since i already promised them to play. Yang laoshi said that if i really cannot come, he will replace me. Should i not go for the performance and get replaced or should i waste 60 dollars and lose 3 friends? Please, desperate for opinions, leave a comment please.

Do you agree that boys is better than girls in sport? Just now when i went to play basketball, there was a few girls playing too. There look like they were noob rabbits(learnt the phrase 'noob rabbit' from tzy yeo)They stand so near the high metal hoop still can miss. One girl who was better, shoot the ball bounce on the meral hoop, circled it two times before entering it. I was like , what in the hell are they doing here. i shot a three pointer and the ball soar beautifully in the air and entered the hoop straight! A clean shot!I had to admit it was a lucky shot. The girls felt that i was trying to -niao- them( learnt from Emil Lim, means something like trying to embarrass them), they stared at me with -a faint line appearing between their eye brows, when they discovered that i am very good at basketball, they looked at me with more than faint distaste-(learnt from Mrs Caroline Fisher!)A girl who had been sitting in a corner all the while came to me and she said she wanted me to play with them. I was like -LOL, RANDOM SIA!-(learnt from zheyi!)but i agreed. They are all from australia and very friendly and willing to play with me. I 1 v s 4 them. All the girls quite noob actually but the problem is i am losing?Why? Because of the girl sitting in the corner!We play 10 balls see who reach ten first. A Three pointer is counted as 2 balls.Their team have 7 points that time and i only have 4. 6/7 of their points is scored by that girl who asked me to play.Her accuracy and speed simply defeated me ! She could shoot behind the three pointer line and clean shot ! Her jump is like so high and her speed can overtake me easily. I cant even block her.At last, i lost 7-10. They asked me to play again and wanted to put one girl in my team but i rejected.My face is like so red, i lost to a bunch of girls! i always thought girls will never win boys at sport. In primary school, i can thrashthe school team track and field girls easily . Please leave your comments please!

1st post for 2010)Hit the mark by a fluke XD!

Sunday afternoon 4.34 pm. I am really pissed off, very very frustrated because of my sabbatical. I put 600 points into badminton a few days ago with leqi and others warning,' qiyu, dont waste your points, no one even want to go to badminton. 400 is more than enough.' I am still unsure thus i put 600 points, thinking that i can go to badminton sabbatical. I randomly choose the rest of the bidding choices since i am very confident that i will go to badminton. Actually, the reason i want to go to badminton sabbatical is not to learn badminton since i already have a coach outside but simply challenge my friend who went badminton. When i checked my bidding status, i was bidded to ' movie hero, change, change, change' (translated from chinese to english , thus alittle awkward)! I am darn angry. This is because this sabbatical is Pre-booked for some LEP students and i have to spend 500 points to get in. Waste! After that, i realised that i have to wait for one more term to have chance to go to badminton. Monday moring,(which is today's morning)when i arrived at school. i saw a lot of people carrying badminton bat and happily chatting with each other. My friend whom i want to challenge is also in badminton and he mocked at me for being so stupid. This made me more angry. When i went for my sabbatical, i wanted to put in more points next term to get into badminton, howeverm there maynot even be badminton sabbatical next term and friend wont be going it so even if i go it will be a waste of time. The more i think, the more i am angry.
when i saw leqi , i want to punch him in the face but i realised that it is actually my fault cause i am the one who put the point at last, he is just trying to help me. Just then, the teacher came in, and said' we are going to watch 2 movies for today. With that, we begin to watch the first movie which is quite scary. We did a short reflection and went for recess. After recess, we watched the second movie and wrote our reflections. The teacher also said that we could get chinese ace for the reflection we have done! AFter all, my sabbatical is not bad!!!!i am in a good mood when i return home.Now i a going to play basketball, see you!

my favourite poet

'A poem begins in delight and ends in wisdom.' You must be wondering who said this but i am going to ell you that he is the poet i am going to introduce to all of you today.

Robert frost was an American poet who was highly regarded for hisrealistic depictions of rural
life.he was borned in San Franci on 26 march , 1874.His father passed when he was eleven .after father died, his family moved to New England . his mother died15 years later and his relatives suffer from various disease.With both parents as teachers,he was exposed to the world of books at a young age .married Elinor White in 1894 .he faced poverty ,he and Elinor had four children .
his first poem appeared in a New York periodical in 1894 .When he died, his son committed suicide, and his daughter had a mental breakdown.

you must be wondering why i liked him.The reason is simple,although both his parents died,he did not give up and continued to work hard.On the other hand,most people will only grief over the death and give up themselves.Although he faced poverty at a particular period of time,he did not let go his dreams and continued striving to write poems

'Two roads diverged in a yellow wood' is a metaphor for choosing choices in life.this metaphor achieved its purpose as some roads are dangerous like some paths of life are risky. The poet uses metaphor here as he wanted to emphasis on how difficult it is to make a descision and how neccessariy it is.In Line 2, 3 and 4, the fist letter 'and' is a hyperbole . The writer is indirectly telling us that once a chose his route, he cant turn back.he also is emphasizing on this important choice.

2. Tell us why you like this poem in no less than 100 words.

I like this poem because it describes a scene when one man is trying to make a choice.In this poem.The poem had a lot of words which told us indirectly its meaning like ' the yellow wood'which tell us its autom.Interesting punctuation also tell us about the writers feeling like the dash in stanza 4 ,line 3.It tells us that the writer paused,probably,hestitating.The poem also emphasized on how difficult it is for the writer by saying that the road looked the same two times -- stanza 2 ,line 1(then took the other,as just as fair),and stanza 2 ,line 5
(had worn them really about the same.)the same in that sentence also reiterate the 'equally' on the next line.Finally,after much decision,the writer chose the one less traveled,which presents the writer's personality,he is an adventurous and curious man.

There is a basketball tornement in my condominium in Zheng Zhou ,china.I joined the competition ,not expecting to win or even touch the ball.When the competition started, i realised that the opponent players are all very short.The players in my team were not very tall too..i was counted one of the tallest!Imagine it! i am merely 1.59m!
When the competition started,i realised that i am in advantage.When the opponent team throw in the ball ,i could jump up and stop it.When they are trying to shoot,i could slam it down by raising up me arm...haha!when i shoot,no one can stop me,The basket ball stand 2 metre plus, i could almost slam dunk.All my team mate passed the ball to me when they got it.Our team won 68:12!I scored 52 points..haha. After the competition,i realised that it is for children under 10years old.I fainted...

i rather be the city rat than a country rat

i rather be the city rat than a country rat...Why? Because in country side, its deadly quiet.There are no place to stroll.There is only crikets chirping in the eerie night.Although you can lead a quiet life and can eat, sleep,play in peace,its nothing compared to being a city rat.
A city rat can see , taste , smell , touch and hear alot of new things everyday.It can eat seafood,meat,cheese etc.See computers, television and the developing technology.Sleeping in an air conditioned room is of course more comfortable then sleeping on a straw mat.When a city rat get bored,he could deside to play prank on the house master.he could hide under the sofa when the owner is watching television and watch with him.He could hide behind door and listen to music when the owner is doing so.When the owner discovered him when his eating and start to chase him,he could run around the house,in fact,its quite thrilling for him to have someone playing'tag' with him.
On the other hand,the country rat has nothing.when he is bored,he sleep.When he is hungry,he eat.His life is not meaningful.He just eat,sleep.When he wake up, eat again then sleep....

My mothers favorite book.

My mother's favorite book is a chinese book--围城.According to her, this book leave a big impression on her.The title of the book...yeah,i also dont know the meaning but let me share with you the content and the lesson my mother learnt.

The story is about a men wanting to marry a women.When he finally married her ,he wanted to marry another more beautiful women.After he got her,he changed again...it may seem very boring but if you read it carefully,you realise that life is just like that.You see,everyone in the world strives for the best or should i say a good destination but after he got to his destination,he wants something better and so on.my mother told me that she learnt that no one is satisfied with the present.thats why she always think that her present is presious thus did not require to be richer or other things most people want to have.

my favourite and least favourite character

Sorry everyone...i did not blog this long period of time since i am in china and could not log on to http://www.blogger.com!never/ never mind,let me share with you my favorite and least favorite character in Village by the sea.

My favorite character is of course the main character-Hari!He gave up his childhood for his family,worked at a young age since their father is always drunk and their mother is always sick.He is keen to study and learnt watchmending eagerly.It is also very happy to see his work attitude.When reading,i felt a bit bad.A poor boy is so hardworking for his family and abandoned his education .I am not as poor as him and have a chance to study but my result is still not good.His ignorance also him very funny ,like refering the lift as a tiny cell.

In conclusion,Hari is my favorite character because it teaches me a lesson to study hard and also make me shed tears at heartwarming scenes and laugh at funny parts.

Now,i will talk about my least favorite character.The younger sisters are a bit irritating since they did not understand their brother and take their work for granted but they are nothing compared to my most hated character--the bombay traffic police.He is so insulting ,using words like 'fool'...He hurt their feelings by saying 'come straight from the pumkin fields,have you.'And when they say they are coming for prossetion,he insulted them again'you do that,the Chief minister is waiting for you with a garland and a sweet for each of you.'Athough he appeared in the story very few times,infact only one time.When i read the part he insulted them,i felt angry .If i put myself in the situation,i will surely explode like a volcanoe.

which part of Village by the sea do you like best

Hey friends! Which part of village by the sea do you like the most!?

The part when Hari went to Bombay, and got himself humiliated? Refering the lift as a tiny little cell and did not even know where is the electronic bell? Well, i like the part when Hari and his family's luck start to change.

Hari got a job in bombay as a kitchen helper as well as watch mender.well his sisters took care of De silvas friend and also earned money.Hari's mother was also saved by the De silvas .Mean while,haris father also gave up drinking.When Hari went back to the village,he learnt to adapt to changes and made future plans.It is entertaining to see lila not used to being rich(not daring to bargain with the other women for the prawns.It is very educational when Hari's mother said "I felt wealthy with all of you beside me"suggesting that the bonded relationship between family members is more important then money,according to Haris mother.

Hwa chong spirit

Remembered that on the sport day ,all sec 1s had to go to cheet.Some of us was really not enthusiastic about it as we thought that hwa chong was sure to win! However,during the competitions,hwa chong sometimes seemed to be losing because in all the sprints,hwa chong did not won a single race,everyone clapped like mad,forgetting their thristiness and hungriness.I kept on cheering until my tongue begin to shed skin and my voice broke!I believe that this is the hwa chong spirit!Raffles used trumpets and drums, sss(Singapore spots school) used empty bottles, Cedar used their voices however hwa chongers used their hearts!

Why no one tag me!!OK>>let me share with you another book called"Molly moon's incredible book of hypotism"

It was about molly moon who was no ordinary orphan.She was treated badly like not even being able to bath with more than 10 cm of water.She ate rotten fishes and so on....Until one day,she found a book.It was about hypotism.At first she dont believe it but later,she realised that she could make people do wat ever things she wanted them to do,however she realised a stranger stalking her for the hypnotic secrets..i am barely writing out the summary of the book with little information since i only read it once...i will put in much more info after i read the second time!Thanks...plz tag me if you read the book before and meanwhile help me understand the book better

Percy Jackson and the lightning thief

OK..here i goes....

There was a boy-percy obviously.He saw his teacher changing into a monster however everyone said that they saw nothing.later on he was expelled from school(The front part was described using indirect characterisation so i could not really understand,if u read before plzzzzzz tell me!I am desperate to know!)His real father who was the sea god left him when he was 7 years old and his mother married a SMELLY and BAD TEMPERED man.A few days later,his mother tried to sent him to a school of heroes and on the way a monster attacked and gripped his mother and his mother burst into a ray of gold.Then he blacked out and found himself in the school for training heroes where monster cant see them.He discovered his power when he was fighting a with Alicia,the daughter of the god of war.He was wounded badly but when he got in to the water,all his wounds healed.later on,He became friends wuth another girl whose mother is the god of wisdom and together they tried to convince Zeus that the thunderbolt was not sto;en by percy.Who took the thunderbolt?Read and find out.


Let me share with u an interesting part of the story when the book says that Percy mother married the smeely man because that his smell could cover Percy and the monsters could not find them!!LOL!

Whew...finally released from secondary 1 camp!!!Trying my best not to use any profanity...the sec 1 camp is really not fun... when i was at the camp,how i admire those people who sat at the air-conditioned library!Mainly is the food, if you dont believe me, youo can ask laiheng or siyuan,i almost give them everything i had for every meal!After that is the tents,it is so dirty and full of insects,i got bitten by spiders on my feet and leg!Any one enjoyed the camp?pls leave a comment

I am not those kind of book worm who always reads...I seldom reads however everytime i read i will read for a few hours(maybe three or four)For example i read in one day.I have this habit of chosing books...i dont read girlish books or those kind of information books with little paragraphng and no dialogues at all! I LOVE COMICS!Naruto rocks !!!I love to read adventure book too like Percy Jackson

I felt that the father in is very not responsible.When he chooses his wife,he must be very, very, very careful because it is obvious,that the woman is going to accompany him for his whole life unless something bad happened.Now,his wife had a healthy body and they already have 6 daughters.The father wanted a son badly because all his relatives have sons and he was afraid to be laughed at.I had a question to ask him:What is the problem with girls?The queen of England is a woman!
